Tattoo removal uses lasers to break up the ink in the dermis layer of your skin.
Light energy from the laser is absorbed by the ink pigment. The pigment is dissolved and reabsorbed by the body’s immune system and the tattoo disappears.
Different wavelengths of light are used to target different colours of ink.
Most clients require more than one session of tattoo removal. The number of sessions will depend on the size, location and colouring of your tattoo, as well as your skin type.

Each treatment session could last between 15 minutes and one hour, followed by up to one week’s downtime period.
Anaesthetic cream will be applied to dull any feelings of discomfort that the treatment might cause. Tattoo removal can be an uncomfortable experience, but no more than getting the tattoo in the first place.
Temporary side effects of tattoo removal may include: redness, swelling, scabbing, blistering, bruising and hyper-pigmentation. It can take anywhere from a few hours to a week for these to disappear.
