IPL Skin Rejuvenation

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation, also known as Photo Rejuvenation, is a non-invasive treatment that targets everything from sun damage to rosacea. Whatever your skin imperfection, IPL Skin Rejuvenation may provide the answer.

Introduction

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL applicators deliver powerful bursts of light, targeting pigmentation or skin imperfections such as broken capillaries and general redness in the skin, both on the face and body, without affecting the surrounding tissue.

The dermal layer of the skin is heated without removing the outer layer of the skin. This triggers the body’s natural process of breaking down the pigment into tiny particles, removing unwanted marks from the skin.

As pigment is targeted in the dermal layer of the skin, the IPL treatment will break down the Melanin in age spots and pigmented areas. This treatment will also target redness in the skin and help to eliminate any broken veins.

Questions
You May Have

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions recommended to you will depend on the area of skin you wish to treat and the severity of the targeted skin condition. In most cases, 3-6 treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results.

Does the treatment hurt?

We use a cooled applicator to help minimise discomfort. A tingling sensation is likely be felt, but this is only temporary.

Is there any downtime associated with IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

Although IPL treatments are non-invasive, pigment may initially appear darker. Redness and swelling may also occur, but will subside fully within 7 days.

When will I see results?

Results can be seen from 2 weeks post treatment. This gives the body time to breakdown excess melanin and for collagen levels to increase, eventually reducing the appearance of pigmentation, age spots, fine lines and broken capillaries.
