Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of using Dermal Fillers on lip enhancement?

After our lip enhancement treatment, your lips will not only look fuller and more attractive, but they will also feel softer and more hydrated.

What type of product is used?

We use two types of dermal filler; Restylane and Juvederm. Both products are at the forefront of the facial aesthetics industry and supported by years of clinical data.

What happens during the procedure?

After a full consultation, during which your treatment options will be explained and discussed in full, a local anaesthetic cream is applied, before a small amount of dermal filler is injected into the lip, to create the desired effect.

What will I look like immediately after the treatment?

It is common for the treated area to appear slightly red and swollen immediately after treatment. Very occasionally there may be slight bruising, but ice packs and gentle massaging can help with this.

What should I do/not do after treatment?

You will be given detailed post-treatment instructions. As a general rule, it’s best to avoid applying make-up over the treated area. You should also avoid alcohol, hot baths, showers, saunas and strenuous exercise, for up to six hours, post treatment.

When will I see results?

Results are visible immediately, although it can take a day or so for any swelling to subside, at which point the end result of your lip enhancement treatment can be seen.

How long does it last?

This can vary depending on your metabolism. However, on average, the results should last for up to six months.
